What is Visual Processing?
Visual Processing is a big job, and includes three main areas that impact our ability to accomplish tasks:

Functional Vision- including oculomotor skills which are and acuity

Visual Perceptual Skills- using visual information to understand how objects around us are related to one another and to ourselves and interpreting what they are seeing)

Visual Motor Skills- the integration of visual information with actions in order to complete tasks.
Common signs your child has difficulty with Visual Processing

Messy handwriting

Difficulty with reading

Letter reversals

Trouble coloring in the lines

Difficulty with letter formation (sequence, size, and spacing between letters and words)

Unable to find toys/items in busy environment

Difficulty with copying

Making letters fit in space or on line
